In 1989, four year employee and now shareholder Andrew Deenik, opened the second sub shop in Hood River, Oregon. Andrew followed the same formula as the Jackson Hole location - quality subs served fast!
An obscure location stunted growth during the first year. Yet, the budding windsurfing community flocked to the shop for a quick bite before hitting the water. Eventually all of the local orchardists, timber loggers, and tourists found their way to the shop.
This location was 900 square feet. and offered seating. Jackson Hole artist Greta Gretzinger, drove her Elvis Subaru out to Oregon and applied her skilled paintbrush to the walls. Her murals have become an intergral part of all our locations. Her humor and creative mind is secretly woven into all the characters which accurately portrays the local folklore. These images on the walls give the customer a different perspective on their town and a hint into the unique personalities surrounding the business.
